This README file is divided into the following sections:
VisualMust has been written entirely in the Java(tm) programming language. Thanks to this feature, the same package may be installed on any operating system hosting a 1.3.0 (and later) Java(tm) virtual machine. Therefore there is no installation, strictly speaking. The product is provided in a zip format, it must be unzipped in the directory that fits you. By unzipping this file you will get the VisualMust.jar file, ready to run. More, you will get a readme directory that contains this file.
VisualMust requires you to have a Sun(tm)-compatible Java(tm) 2 SDK version 1.3 and later installed. Usually, JDK installer does not set the PATH environment variable for the Java compiler. VisualMust needs to know this PATH to run the Java compiler. So you may either modify the PATH environment variable of your system, or specify the Java compiler's PATH, at VisualMust runtime, by using the Settings parameters of VisualMust Editor.
You are strongly recommended to add the path of the
,
«VisualMust.jar» and
«VisualMustDocs.jar» files into the CLASSPATH of your system.
«JbcBeansEvaluation.jar» VisualMust Debugger Application requires Java Debug Interface (JDI). JDI is usually packaged in
library. This library must be included in your CLASSPATH.
«jdk/lib/tools.jar» You are recommended to set the CLASSPATH variable at system startup. The place to look for it depends on your operating system and the shell you are running.
Changing Startup Settings Operating System Method Windows 95 and 98 Examine autoexec.bat for the set command. Windows NT / 2000 / XP The CLASSPATH environment variable can be set using the System utility in the Control Panel. Unix : Shell csh, tcsh Examine your .cshrc file for the setenv command. Unix : Shell sh, ksh Examine your .profile file for the export command. Mac : Shell csh, tcsh Examine your .cshrc or .tcshrc file for the setenv command. See Java(tm) 2 SDK documentation «How the Java Launcher Finds Classes» and «Using the CLASSPATH environment variable» :

So far there is no known problem directly bound to this product. Nevertheless, please note :
- For the very big developments or designs, the Java(tm) machine may send a message saying your environment is out of memory. This means that you have reached the standard heap size and must restart your virtual machine by increasing the maximum heap size (use the
Xmx parameter).- Please report bugs and feedback at: info@JBCSolutions.com. Do not forget to send us the VisualMust.log file associated with your bug report.
Sun(tm) JDK 1.4.0 KNOWN PROBLEMS: Some problems exist with the J2SDK 1.4.0
